Redmi Note 10 series could bring 5G to the masses with MediaTek Dimensity 720, 820 chipsets

The Redmi Note 10 series could comprise the Redmi Note 10 with the Dimensity 720 and a Note 10 Pro variant with the higher end Dimensity 820 chip. The Redmi Note 10 series is on its way and it will bet big on 5G support. The Note 10 was spotted on benchmarking websites with the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset. Now, leakster Digital Chat Station has suggested that there is another Redmi in the works. This new Redmi Note 10 device will feature the Dimensity 720 chipset, which is also 5G enabled.  Alternatively, the second device could be the Redmi 10 budget device. However, we think these two devices will be the Redmi Note 10 and a Note 10 Pro. The phones will be different from the Redmi 10X 5G phone, which is a China-only exclusive. MediaTek intros new SoC for 5G CPE wireless devices

MediaTek has announced its latest 5G chipset designed to power next-generation 5G CPE wireless products, such as fixed wireless access routers (FWA) and mobile hotspots named  T750. The MediaTek T750 chipset supports 5G sub-6GHz frequencies and two component carrier aggregation (2CC CA) for extended coverage, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor fixed wireless access products, like home routers, as well as mobile hotspots. In addition, the T750 design, which includes a 5G NR FR1 modem, quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processors and the required peripherals all on a single chip, offers performance and time-to-market advantages that speed up ODM/OEM development times, the chipmaker indicated. Taiwanese fabless semiconductor company MediaTek on Tuesday launched a new gaming-focused chipset for premium 4G smartphones.  The MediaTek Helio G95 chip is the latest addition to the MediaTek Helio G Series family. "MediaTek continues to enhance its G series gaming chips to deliver robust performance and MediaTek Helio G95 is our most powerful gaming chip to date," Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager, Wireless Communications Business Unit, MediaTek, said in a statement.  The MediaTek Helio G95 Performance has been pumped up to 5% in CPU benchmarks (Antutu) and up to 8% in GPU benchmarks (Manhattan 3.0) vs. the G90T.
