San Marino GP 2020: What to expect?

So after a breather for 2 weeks, we are back again with some Racing action, with 3 back to back races and total 9 races in 11 weeks starting with the double header at Gran Premio Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini on the beautiful Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. After an unprecedented first 5 races of a shortened season due to Covid-19, we have already seen 4 riders and 3 manufacturers winning the races, which makes the Misano double header even more important. Some Good and Bad news have already made their way, Good that we might see some spectators in the stands and Bad that we have got report of 2 Positive Covid cases in the Paddock including Moto2 title contender, Jorge Martin. Dovi: ‘2020 MotoGP season would be just as open with Marc Marquez racing’

Andrea Dovizioso believes absent champion Marc Marquez would have struggled for consistency in the 2020 MotoGP World Championship season. Andrea Dovizioso has dismissed the notion the 2020 MotoGP World Championship is suffering without the presence of its dominant champion Marc Marquez, speculating he may have struggled just as much to be consistent. The Spaniard’s absence following an injury in round one will see a new MotoGP World Champion crowned in 2020, but no favourite has emerged from the opening five rounds with four different winners thus far, including three first-time winners. With Fabio Quartararo and Dovizioso enduring fluctuating fortunes this year so far, Marquez himself has questioned which rider will have the consistency to mount a convincing title challenge. With 9 Races to go, lets take a look at some of the Title challengers for this year's shortened Calendar... This season has been a Roller-Coaster ride for Riders and Fans likewise, with 4 different race winners in 5 races so far and Fabio Quartararo, Miguel Olivera, Brad Binder and KTM winning their First ever Top spots in MotoGP, it seems like no one can predict what future has in store for the Championship this year. Lets take a look at current standings and see who are the favorites this season as per their current performances. 1. Fabio Quartararo Wins: 2 Podiums: 2 Fabio Quartararo got off to a perfect start by claiming his and Petronas Yamaha’s first two MotoGP victories at Jerez. But a downward trend of 7th, 8th and 13th places since has eroded his title advantage to just 3 points. Clearly capable of more race wins if the Yamaha package is performing as he needs, the upcoming Misano double header could prove pivotal in terms of his chances of a historic satellite team title.
